LIBRARY HOTEL COLLECTION
I just got back from New York City last week and had the pleasure of staying at four different hotels that are all part of the Library Hotel Collection. Each hotel was wonderful and unique in its own way, but all had the following in common- extraordinary customer service, complimentary wifi, 24/7 complimentary coffee and treats available, wine and cheese receptions at 5pm daily, free bottled water in your room, complimentary continental breakfast buffets, and access to New York Sports Clubs. I was blown away by the hospitality each hotel provided and am so excited to share my experience with you all in chronological order. Don’t forget to check out my vlog of the Library Hotel Collection as well (coming soon)! Use promo code STIRANDSTYLE for 20% off any hotel in the Library Hotel Collection!

Hotel Giraffe
Hotel Giraffe had Dan and I feeling right at home the moment we walked through the doors. There was a beautiful view of Park Avenue and 26th Street from our room’s balcony. To catch another amazing view, you can head up to the rooftop bar where you’ll be greeted by a friendly and adorable giraffe statue! Feel free to bring your wine and cheese from the reception up to the rooftop to enjoy!

STIR: This post’s Stir is from Hotel Giraffe’s restaurant, Bread & Tulips. This restaurant serves rustic Italian food including handmade pastas and pizzas baked in a state-of-the-art pizza oven imported from Italy. To make the deal sweeter, guests of Hotel Giraffe receive 20% off their meal!
I matched my Style with the Polpette- housemade meatballs and sugo. These meatballs were so moist and flavorful that Dan and I had to fight over the last one. He always let’s me win when it comes to food- one of many reasons why I love him.

Pappardelle with braised leg of lamb, tomato, and parmigiano

Spaghett Aglio E Olio with garlic, olive oil, chiles, scallions, sun-dried tomatoes, and breadcrumbs

Grilled Octopus with gigante and garbanzo beans with lemon confit

Library Hotel
I love how this collection of hotels has themes! This one had a huge selection of books in which I almost got so carried away with that I almost missed my dinner reservation. Not to worry though, we made it! Library Hotel has a baby grand piano in their reading room, which also has their complimentary refreshments including a state-of-the-art espresso machine. The kind lady working in the reading room took extremely great care of us and even made me a delicious iced coffee!
When we arrived, the hotel let us know that we had the best room in the whole hotel and boyyyyyyyy were they right!! We had a gorgeous terrace (I can’t wait until you see it in my vlog) with a breathtaking view of Madison Avenue and a straight view to the NY Public Library. Coincidence to the name Library Hotel? I think not. This room was so comfortable, clean, and inviting that I wanted to spend as much time as possible enjoying it! I’m tellin’ you, that terrace is something I will never forget and can only hope to relive again one day!

Casablanca Hotel
Location, location, location. You step out of the Casablanca and you’re in Times Square!! The theme at this hotel is “where Moroccan meets Mediterranean,” which had me feeling so at peace and serene in such a bustling city. Like all the other hotels in the Library Hotel Collection, the clubroom has cookies, pastries, fresh fruit, tea, and coffee any time you’d like. You really can’t beat the convenience of this hotel’s location either! Dan and I saw the Broadway musical “Finding Neverland” that evening and it’s no fun to have to fight the crowds to get home after enjoying a musical. Luckily, we were able to take a beautiful walk through Times Square with all the flashing lights and arrive back to our hotel within 5 minutes. If you’re looking for a quiet oasis in the midst of one of the busiest attractions on earth, you’ll want to stay at Casablanca Hotel.

Hotel Elysée
Hotel Elysée is elegantly French and located within walking distance to Central Park. Since real estate is such a hot commodity in New York, it is rare to find a spacious hotel room. But don’t fret, the Deluxe Room at Hotel Elysée is 300 sq ft and felt so spacious with a sitting area equipped with a couch and chair around a coffee table. We were also given a bottle of wine, which made us feel so welcomed. While on vacation, there’s not much better than coming back from a day packed next to people in the subway and on the streets to the luxury of an open and spacious hotel room! On top of it all, Hotel Elysee also has a clubroom with complimentary refreshments that they requested we use as an extension to our own room and is available 24/7.

I loved each hotel in the Library Hotel Collection! If I had to choose a favorite, I’d say it was the Library Hotel. That terrace view is a sight I will never forget!

STYLE
I have been looking for a great leather jacket and the time finally came. It came just in time to match with the meatballs! This brown leather biker jacket from Members Only is the best quality leather jacket I have ever owned to date. It’s warm, but isn’t heavy and allows for freedom of movement which a lot of other leather jackets lack. Members Only has a huge selection of jackets for men as well. My boyfriend, Dan, is wearing the Engineered Cafe Jacket, which is incredibly soft and looks so good on him! Isn't he so handsome?! *heart eyes*

I paired the jacket with a russet lace top from Zara to resemble the tomato sauce.

These are my first pair of Frame jeans and they are so stretchy! When I wear them, it feels like I’m wearing leggings, which is amazing because I strongly dislike stiff jeans. I wore Sam Edelman black booties from Designer Studio Store to match the black pepper in the meatball appetizer. These booties are exceptionally comfortable and I wore them walking all over New York City! Designer Studio Store has so many great brands in one place which makes it easy to make some awesome finds! Father’s Day is coming up, so why not start shopping now?

Thank you so much for allowing me to share my StirandTravel and StirandStyle with you! You can look forward more travel posts from me! Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. I’d love to chat!
