How to Make Smash Burgers

Smash Burgers are different from regular burgers because you…well, SMASH them. The smashing of the patty creates this delicious crunchy beef halo around your patty. Give it a try!

What You’ll Need for 4 Servings:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp pepper

  • 2 tsp paprika

  • 2 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or liquid aminos

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 cup rice crumbs

  • 1 jalapeno

  • 4 cloves garlic

  • 1 egg

  • Sliced cheese of choice

  • Buns

  • All your favorite toppings

How to Cook it:

  • Mix beef, spices and herbs, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, soy sauce, jalapeno, & garlic

  • Sprinkle in rice crumbs and crack in raw egg

  • Smash together with potato masher (or hands) to mix well

  • Roll into balls

  • Toast buns with mayo and mustard

  • Heat pan on medium high with olive oil and plop in beef balls

  • SMASH with a spatula and let cook for 1 minute

  • Flip and let cook for another minute

  • Add cheese on patties, add 1 tbsp water, and cover with a lid to steam.

  • Stack your burger how you’d like!
