How to Make Tuna Melt

There’s something so nostaligc about a tuna melt that comforts your soul.

What You’ll Need for 2 sandwiches:

  • 2 cans of solid white albacore tuna (or your favorite kind)

  • 1/3 cup mayo (add more or less to taste, I like extra mayo)

  • 1 tsp mustard

  • 1 1/2 tbsp relish

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 4 slices sourdough bread (or desired bread)

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

  • 2 tbsp butter

How to Cook it:

  • Drain water from tuna and place in mixing bowl with mayo, mustard, relish, salt and pepper.

  • Mix thoroughly

  • Melt 1 tbsp butter on heated pan on medium heat, add bread, add cheese, add tuna..

  • Close sandwich and let pan side bread turn golden brown (about 2 minutes)

  • Flip, add 1 tbsp butter to pan and let it seep under the bread. Let brown for 2 minutes.

  • Give it a tap to make sure it’s good and crispy! Enjoy!
